Made-in-India Renault Duster deliveries begin in the country: Details

Renault India today announced that it has started exporting the Renault Duster SUV to India, with the first shipment of 750 units from Chennai to South Africa. The company said the shipment marks the start of its export program for the new generation Duster, with plans to expand exports to more global markets in the coming months. The event also highlights the growing importance of India within Renault Group’s manufacturing and export operations.The new Renault Duster is offered in five variants – real, evolution, techno, techno plus and iconic, with prices starting from Rs 10.29 lakh to Rs 18.09 lakh (both prices were previously revealed). An introductory price of Rs 10.29 lakh was applied to customers who pre-booked their cars by March 2026; after that, the standard price now starts from Rs 10.49 lakh (basic room).

Renault Duster delivery begins

Duster is offered with three engine options – 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with 100 PS power and 160 nm torque combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Another engine is a 1.3-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline with 163 PS power and 280 nm torque combined with a 6-speed DCT or 6-speed manual. There is also a large 1.8-liter hybrid gasoline engine with 109 hp combined with a 49hp electric motor and a 20hp hybrid starter generator (HSG), combined with a 1.4kWh (280V) battery. Together, this configuration delivers a combined output of 160hp and 172Nm.Smartly, Renault has brought Indian updates to the new-generation Duster while keeping the look of the third-generation global model. The India-spec SUV also gets updated headlights with eyelash-shaped LED daytime running lights that also function as daytime running lights. It features a redesigned grille with the familiar Duster logo, replacing the Renault logo, along with a front bumper that uses a silver surround and pixel fog lights.From the side, the Duster carries black wheel arches and lower body, rear C-pillar doors, and roof rails. At the rear, the triangular tail lamps are joined by an LED lamp that is not seen on the global model. Other updates include a roof mounted spoiler, a license plate housing and a black rear bumper with a silver insert.Moving on to the interior, the interior of the Duster has been extensively redesigned to cater to the Indian market. The India-spec model has a new dashboard design with dual screens, soft touch controls and updated controls. The cabin uses silver accents with contrasting green stitching, a dedicated button in the center of the console, an adjustable slide storage armrest and more. Among them are 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, powered tailgate, 6-way powered and ventilated seats, 48-colored 48 lights, push key entry, keyless modes
