Gujarat-based EV startup Avore Electric has entered the Indian electric motorcycle segment with the launch of its first series, the EX series. The new models include three models: EX1, EX2 and EX2S, with prices starting from Rs 1.24 lakh, ex-showroom. The initial launch is valid for the first 10,000 customers, after which the initial price will increase to Rs 1.34 lakh. Bookings have also started at Rs 799, while deliveries are expected to start in about two months.The entry-level EX1 is priced at Rs 1.24 lakh and uses a 3.24 kWh battery with an IDC range of 160 km. It has a top speed of 100 km/h and can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.2 seconds. It comes with a 7-inch display, LED lighting, four modes of riding, a built-in recorder and connectivity options such as 4G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. The battery is backed by a five-year warranty.Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, the EX2 gets a larger 5 kWh battery that extends the claimed range to 255 km. The maximum speed is 100 km/h. It has a 7-inch digital display, an LED front light, four high-speed modes and a top-mounted charger that can charge the battery from 20 to 80 percent within two hours. Like the EX1, it also gets 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, CBS with disc brakes and a five-year battery warranty.The flagship EX2S is priced at Rs 1.69 lakh and offers the strongest performance in the range. It uses the same 5 kWh battery but offers an IDC claimed range of 260 km. The top speed increases to 114 km / h. The company claims a 0-40 kmph sprint time of 2.8 seconds. It also gets a 7-inch display with AI functions, six charging modes and a charging time of two hours 20-80 percent using the charger.Across the board, Avore has introduced a number of technologies including an integrated motor and swingarm system, a 1,500W charger that works with standard sockets, and a rare-in-the-world magnetic motor. The company claims that the EX2S and EX2 produce up to 10.5 kW of power, while all three models produce 250 Nm of peak wheel torque.These motorcycles are also equipped with proprietary software and connected technologies such as the AVORE SENSE operating system, AVA vehicle assistance, an AI-powered companion called Avore Synapse, gear mode, park assist and a number of convenience features including automatic ignition and home lighting.
