Vijayalakshmi Darshan, wife of jailed Kannada star Darshan Thoogudeepa, has rubbished rumors that their son, Vineesh, was hospitalized after a major car accident in Bengaluru. Narrating the incident at Rajarajeshwari Nagar regarding the Ford Endeavour, Vijayalakshmi confirmed that Vineesh was safe, he was not behind the wheel, and had only come out to check the two-wheelers after a minor road accident. The family is under a lot of public scrutiny, with the Bengaluru Police also stepping in to ensure that no case or complaint has been registered over the minor road problem.
A minor road incident sparked rumours
The idea is said to have started after a minor accident involving a Ford Endeavor involving Vineesh was reported in Bengaluru. The vehicle was reportedly involved in a minor road accident with two wheels. As videos and statements about the incident spread online, confusion grew over Vineesh’s role in the accident.

According to TOI City reports, Darshan’s wife, Vijayalakshmi Darshan, released the details. He made it clear that Vineesh was neither injured nor driving the car when the accident took place.He said, “We would like to clarify that the news published by some media that Vinish has met with an accident and is hospitalized is completely false. Vinish is very safe and doing well. He was not driving; as it happens, our driver was behind the wheel. A minor traffic incident took place, which, unfortunately, is not uncommon on Bengaluru roads. A brother who took action admitted that it was their fault and even apologized. Vinish only got out of the car to ensure the safety of the passengers. Unfortunately, those few minutes have been removed and presented in a misleading way. “Darshan’s wife added, “As a family we are already suffering, and the spread of such unconfirmed and sensational news only adds to our pain and anxiety. We sincerely request everyone, especially the media organizations, to verify the facts before publishing or broadcasting anything that may cause unnecessary distress to people and their families. We also ask everyone not to believe or share these false reports.“
Police confirm that no case has been registered
