According to The Hollywood Reporter, ‘The Odyssey’ will have its world premiere in London on July 6, after which the studio will start holding screenings for film critics only. Based on The Odyssey, the film follows the Greek warrior Odysseus on his long, dangerous journey home after the Trojan War as he tries to return to the Kingdom of Ithaca and reunite with his family.Matt Damon star as Odysseus, when Tom Holland he plays his son, Telemachus. Anne Hathaway portrays Penelope, the wife of Odysseus, and Charlize Theron appears as the nymph Calypso. Robert Pattinson stars as Antinous, Penelope’s suitor who wants to marry the queen and usurp the throne of Ithaca. The cast includes John Leguizamo as Odysseus’ loyal servant Eumaeus and Jon Bernthal as Menelaus, the Greek king of Sparta and brother of Agamemnon.
