Chidambaram’s ‘Balan: The Boy’ entered the first day of the week at the box office after posting good numbers over the weekend. However, like most of the recent releases, the film saw a huge drop in Monday collections as the mid-week events kicked in.

According to Sacnilk, ‘Balan: The Boy’ collected 1.15 crore nett in India on Day 4. The latest figure represents a 60.3 percent drop from Sunday’s nett collection of Rs 2.90 crore. The video was shown in 1,143 shows on Monday.The Malayalam version collected Rs 1.12 crore and recorded 27 percent audience. The Tamil version offered Rs 1 lakh with 10 percent occupancy, while the Telugu version added Rs 2 lakhs with 17% occupancy.

The movie topped the Malayalam audience with 24.17% on Monday. Morning shows 9.67 percent of residents. Daytime shows improved up to 20.58 percent.
