The actor also reacted to the rumors surrounding Palak Ibrahim Ali KhanHe says that he has no reason to interfere because he does not consider him as his father.In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Raja said that he has accepted the distance between him and Palak, even though he continues to hurt her.When asked about Palak’s rumored relationship with Ibrahim Ali Khan, Raja said relationships are part of growing up and he doesn’t see it as his place to comment.“I would suffer if he is part of my life but he doesn’t treat me as a father, ask his mother if she is suffering. Why should I bother? I’m just my biological father, that’s it. That’s what I was told. I was told that I have nothing to do with him. What would you do with it?” he said.Although he said that he was no longer involved in his life, Raja assured him that he would always be there if he came.“I will be there for him if he calls me again in the middle of the night, but I am not important in his life,” he added.
‘I have banned everything about him’
Raja also revealed that he has blocked everything related to Palak on social media as following his life since then has become difficult.“I don’t want to see their pictures, videos because I’ve done my level of begging. I’ve justified myself enough, saying how much I miss him. I don’t want it anymore,” he said.According to Raja, he took care of Palak every day until he was eight years old. However, after parting with Shweta Tiwaritheir friendship slowly faded.“I’ve talked to him two or three times in the last 18 years,” he said.
‘I was unpaid domestic help’
During the interview, Raja reiterated his marriage with ex-wife Shweta Tiwari, saying that even though he was providing for the family, he did everything.“He makes the money and I manage everything. And he was making a lot of money. I was just the manager and who cares about the manager?” he said.He said that the misunderstandings and constant arguments eventually ended the marriage.“I was an unpaid domestic helper, and an unpaid driver. We were always fighting, not understanding each other. I was trying to prove my point and he was trying to prove his, but nobody’s point was proven. It was a broken family,” he said.
The separation caused emotional turmoil
Raja admitted that the breakup hurt him and eventually led to alcoholism and a stay in rehab.“It wasn’t just alcoholism. It was mental confusion; it was all my thoughts. I couldn’t control anything. I couldn’t even see my daughter. I couldn’t understand that my daughter was no longer with me. I had a very strong bond with her,” he said.Shweta Tiwari and Raja Chaudhary got married in 1999 and later separated after Shweta accused him of domestic violence, harassment and drunkenness. Their divorce was finalized in 2012.
