Nissan Tekton launched in India: Price list, Duster changes & more

Nissan India today launched the new Nissan Tekton SUV in the Indian market. The new Tekton shares its platform with the new Renault Duster and will be manufactured at Renault’s facility in Tamil Nadu. Interested customers can book the new Tekton online or visit their nearest dealership by paying Rs 21,000, and deliveries will start from July 20. The SUV will compete with Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Volkswagen Taigun and other Indian SUVs.

Tekton price wise

The new Nissan Tekton is offered in six variants – Visia, Visia plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna plus with prices starting from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). It is offered in two engine options – 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol with 100hp, 166Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Another engine is a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol that produces 163hp, 280Nm, and comes mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).In terms of design, the 2026 Nissan Tekton draws inspiration from the Patrol, which makes it look better than the Renault Duster. At the front, it has a large grille with twin chrome grilles, small LED headlights and a C-shaped profile. A small red strip runs below the headlights, while the bonnet is accented with stripes and Tekton lettering. The front bumper has a dual-tone finish, LED fog lights and a silver faux skid plate.

On the side, the Tekton retains the Duster profile but is differentiated by newly designed 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, flared wheels and a silver insert on the front doors. It uses the rear doors, while the rear doors are combined with C-pillars. Moving to the rear, unlike the Duster, the tailgate is finished in body color instead of a contrasting black panel. It also gets C-shaped LED headlamps joined by wider overall lighting, a roof-mounted spoiler and a vertical tailgate with Tekton lettering. The two-tone rear bumper includes a silver skid plate.Moving inside, the overall look is similar to the Duster, but it features a dual-tone gold and burgundy dashboard. Some of them include a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, electric tailgate, 6-way adjustable front seats and air conditioning and more. Safety equipment includes six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, front and rear sensors, an electric brake, and it gets a five-star safety rating from BNCAP.
