Nissan has announced the figures of the newly launched Tekton SUV before the customers, which is scheduled to start on July 20. The mid-size SUV, priced between Rs 10.49 lakh and Rs 18.59 lakh, ex-showroom, is available with two options of turbo-petrol engine and three options of electric engine.The most fuel-efficient Tekton is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, which delivers a claimed mileage of 19.41 kmpl. Buyers opting for the more powerful 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine will get a fuel efficiency of 18.5 kmpl with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the same engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox returns 17.8 kmpl.Under the hood, the Tekton shares engine options with the Renault Duster. The entry-level 1.0-liter, three-stroke turbo-petrol engine produces 100 hp and 166 Nm of torque and is currently offered only with a 6-speed manual transmission.For those looking for higher performance, Nissan also offers a 1.3-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque. This car can be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.Tekton was recently launched in India with prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
