Maruti Suzuki has raised the prices of the e Vitara for the first time since the electric SUV was launched earlier this year. While the entry-level variant has not been affected, the top-end models have been priced up to Rs 30,000.
Maruti Suzuki and Vitara: Price hike details
The base model of the Delta continues to be priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the mid-range Zeta now costs Rs 17.49 lakh, marking an increase of Rs 30,000. The flagship model Alpha has also received a price revision and is now priced at Rs 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom, which is Rs 20,000 more than before.Maruti Suzuki also offers the e Vitara through its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. Under this scheme, the Delta model is available at Rs 10.99 lakh with a battery lease of Rs 3.99 per km. The Zeta and Alpha variants are now priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 14.29 lakh, respectively, with a battery charge of Rs 4.39 per kilometer.The e Vitara is available with two battery options. The Delta trim comes with a 49 kWh battery paired with a single electric motor that produces 142 hp and 193 Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki claims a range of 440 km on a full charge. The Zeta and Alpha variants get a larger 61 kWh battery. These manuals produce 172 hp and 193 Nm of torque and offer a range of up to 543 km. The E Vitara is Maruti Suzuki’s first car in the electric SUV segment and rivals the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV.
