Land Rover Classic has revealed the latest versions of the Classic Defender V8 as it expands its restoration portfolio with two additional body styles. The latest project features a unique exterior color change and features the Defender 110 Double Cab Pick-Up and Defender 90 Hard Top as new delivery options. Built for a single customer, the collection includes the Defender 90 Station Wagon, 90 Soft Top, 110 Station Wagon and the newly available 110 Double Cab Pick-Up. Each car wears Spectral Green paint that changes between shades of green, purple and gold depending on the ambient light and viewing angle.

A special Spectral Green finish is also used on the 18-inch Sawtooth diamond alloy wheels, exterior indicators and dashboard components.An Icy White roof, roll cage, bonnet decals and hand-painted coaches set the exterior apart. Inside, the cabin features Bridge of Weir semi-aniline Vanilla upholstery with green accents. Leather-trimmed Superwool carpets and Defender-badged floor mats complete the interior.Along with the same project, Land Rover Classic has expanded the Classic Defender V8 program by adding the 110 Double Cab Pick-Up and the two-seater 90 Hard Top to its selection. This joins the 90 Station Wagon, 90 Soft Top and 110 Station Wagon. The company has also introduced a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system for the Classic Defender V8 models. The setup supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as DAB/DAB+ digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 13-band tuner. Customers can also specify a rear-view camera integrated with the rear bumper or a rear spoiler.Customization options have also increased with a new roof paint finish, additional color options for Wolf 16-inch heavy-duty wheels and the addition of the Trophy Pack. This package brings Narvik Black Gloss treatment to the bonnet, roof, rear door and wheel arches for a distinctive look.

The latest project showcases the customization available through Land Rover Classic’s Works Bespoke program, which allows owners to customize almost every part of their Defender, including custom paint colors, natural features or the cars they’ve collected.Powering the Classic Defender V8 is a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine that produces 405 PS and 515 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The company says the Classic has completely redesigned the chassis to match the increased performance. The SUV features revised geometry, upgraded springs, revised dampers and stronger anti-roll bars for improved ride and handling. The steering repositioning keeps drivers responsive, while large 335 mm front and 300 mm rear brake discs, supported by four pistons, provide stopping power.Each Classic Defender V8 is custom made and assembled by hand by Land Rover Classic’s expert technicians. Production begins with the original Defender produced at the Solihull site between 2012 and 2016, which is carefully selected before entering the restoration process.The donation car is cut in half before being rebuilt from the ground up. Throughout the restoration process, the components are restored, replaced or modified to adapt to today’s conditions for efficiency, durability and quality. The final product features high-end Defender styling with the latest technology and comes with a one-year mileage warranty.
