The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the results of the 3rd round of seat allocation for the 2026 consultation process. Candidates who have registered for counseling can now check their allotment status by visiting the official website josaa.nic.in.To check the results, candidates need to log in using their Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2026 master application number, password and security code.Candidates who are offered a seat in the third round must complete the online reporting process within the stipulated deadlines, including fee payment, document upload and reply to any verification queries.

According to official arrangements:
- Online reporting (fee payment, document upload and query response) will continue until July 8, 2026.
- The last date to resolve fee payment issues and respond to document verification inquiries is July 9, 2026.
- Seat withdrawal/exit option will be available from July 7 to July 8, 2026.
- The last date to respond to withdrawal-related inquiries is July 9, 2026.
- The results of the fourth round of seat allocation will be announced on July 10, 2026.
seat acceptance fee
Candidates who accept the allocated seat must pay the following seat acceptance fee:
- General, Other Backward Classes-Non-Cream Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Classes (EWS) Candidates: Rs 35,000
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates: Rs 15,000
Freeze, float and slide options
Candidates can choose one of the following options after accepting their allotted seat:
- freeze: Select this option if you are happy with your assigned seat and do not want to participate in more rounds.
- float: Select this option if you want to retain your current seat but would like to consider joining a better institution in the coming rounds.
- slide: If you want to get a better course or branch in the same institute, choose this option.
JoSAA advises candidates to check the counseling portal regularly for document verification updates and complete all admission formalities on time. Failure to do so may result in the assigned seat being cancelled.
How to check JoSAA 2026 Round 3 Seat Allocation Results
Candidates can follow the steps below to download the allotment result:
- Visit the official website josaa.nic.in.
- Click on the ‘JoSAA Third Round Seat Allocation Result 2026’ link on the home page.
- Enter your JEE Main 2026 application number, password and security code.
- Click the submit button.
- Your seat assignment will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the assignment letter and print it out for future reference.
