The Haryana State Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will close the online registration process for Group C recruitment 2026 tomorrow, i.e. June 30, 2026. Eligible candidates who have passed Group C of the CET Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025 can apply through the official HSSC recruitment portal before 11:59 pm.Recruitment is being carried out under Advertisement No. 06/2026 for 1,238 Group C vacancies in different departments of the Haryana Government. Applications will be accepted online from June 24 to June 30, 2026.
Job vacancy details
This recruitment includes the following positions:
- Assistant Prison Warden (Male): 30 positions
- Assistant Prison Warden (female): 3 positions
- Prison guards (female): 112 positions
- Prison guards (male): 1,093 positions
This brings the total number of vacancies to 1,238.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Warden of Prisons should possess a postgraduate degree from a recognized university. Candidates applying for the post of jail warden must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination. Candidates should also have studied Matric or higher level in Hindi or Sanskrit. Physical standards and physical screening tests will also apply to these positions.
Selection process
The recruitment process includes:
- written examination
- Physical measurement tests (if applicable)
- Physical screening test (qualifying in nature)
- Document verification
The written test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, with a maximum score of 100 points. The exam time is 1 hour and 45 minutes. No marks will be deducted for wrong answers, but candidates must mark the fifth option for unattended questions. Failure to do so will result in one point being deducted for each unattended question.
