Producer Apoorva Makhija opened up about one of the most difficult chapters of his life while speaking on Lock Upp Season 2. Looking back on the aftermath of the Indian drama Got Latent, he revealed that he struggled with suicidal thoughts and said that his co-creator Sufi Motiwala was the person who stood by him during that time.In talking with Sufis about real situations, When they hear she shared that her friendship became her greatest source of strength as she dealt with the conflict.Overcome with emotion after meeting him again, Apoorva said, “I miss you so much. Don’t do this again; I start crying. Every time someone asks me about you and says, ‘How did you have friends with him? He is so bad,’ I tell them… I would have killed myself if, during the secret fiasco, I had not said that he was a Sufi.Sufi quickly cut him off, saying, “Don’t say that.Apoorva went on to explain the importance of his presence in helping her navigate her life.“I couldn’t go through it. You were the only one with me. I wasn’t dating anyone. Personally, in my life, as a friend,” he added.Sufi also reflected on their relationship, describing their time together as one of the happiest moments of her life. He said that their friendship made him feel important in Mumbai.“I’m telling you the truth, brother. That one year was my favorite year of my life when we were friends. I finally felt like I had a group to hang out with in Bombay. I felt like there was someone I could go to whenever I wanted. And I missed you so much,” he said.The heart-to-heart conversation ended with both creators apologizing for the misunderstanding that had marred their friendship.Apoorva said, “I’m so sorry too. I know the little things, the little things can hurt so much.
