Speaking to PTI, Ranvir said, “I have tried not to repeat myself because I grew up on the edge of the film industry. The word ‘typecasting’ has haunted me ever since I became an actor, and this has affected many of the choices I have made. So, every time, I try to do something new and different. That’s what I strive for”.

The actor currently stars in the series ‘Pyramid Scheme’, a show about ambition, greed, and the dangerous world of making quick money. Co-star Paramvir Cheema, who also appears in the show, talked about how he always tries not to play the same parts. “The fear of repeating myself will distract me. I would have been given mostly Punjabi characters, silent parts. For example, like ‘Border 2’, I had to convince the director (Anurag Singh) not to give me a character in which I have to wear a pagri (turban), and that I can speak Haryanvi. He also spoke about how the ‘Pyramid Scheme’ felt like a huge opportunity for him. “I had done ‘Sapne vs Everyone’, which was on YouTube, in which I played a guy from Delhi. When ‘Pyramid Scheme’ came to me, I was like, ‘This is going to be a successful project,’ and I knew I had to give it my all, and I did,” he said.
