Renault India has expanded the Kiger range with the introduction of four new models in naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol powertrains. The update aims to make turbo performance and premium features available to consumers. With a revised model, the Renault Kiger Turbo is now priced from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable turbo-powered sub-compact SUV. Renault has also introduced the new Evolution+ model, available with both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines, priced from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the updated Kiger online or visit their nearest Renault dealership. Shipments are expected to begin soon.
Mounted on top of the entry console, the Evolution model comes with LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights, an 8-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, power steering, rear AC, seat covers, adjustable ORVMs and lights, and a rear camera. The Evolution + trim brings a number of features such as Smart Access Card with start/stop button, climate control, wireless cell phone repeater, adjustable driver’s seat height and light fabric upholstery.
A number of features offered on the Evolution models have been taken over from the top Techno trim. The Techno model also adds LED headlights and 16-inch Flex wheels. At the top of the range, the Emotion model offers features such as ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, diamond-cut alloy wheels and optional driving modes.As part of the transformation, Renault has expanded the Kiger Turbo portfolio from three to five models. The Techno trim is now available with a turbo-petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, which gives buyers another way to focus on performance. Kiger’s naturally-aspirated line has also been expanded from six to eight models, giving customers more choice and pricing.Renault Kiger continues to be offered with two engine options – 1.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with 72hp, 96 nm and 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 100 HP and 160 nm torque. The turbo motor is available with a manual, CVT and now has several options. The NA engine is offered with a 5-speed MT or AMT gearbox.
