Citroen India has just launched the all-new Citroen eC3X electric hatchback in the Indian market. The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan that brings the car’s purchase price down to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage costs Rs 2.26 per km. The 2026 Tata Tiago EV is offered in three variants – Smart, Pure plus and Creative along with prices starting from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors is also offering the Tiago EV under its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, reducing the car’s entry price to Rs 4.69 lakh (base model). Consumers opting for this scheme will have to pay Rs 2.6 per kilometer to use the battery.2026 Citroen eC3X vs Tata Tiago EV: Battery, range The 2026 eC3X continues to get a 29.2kWh battery, offering a MIDC-approved range of 325km – an improvement of 79km over the previous model. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a 57hp and 143Nm electric motor. The EV can accelerate from 0-60km/h in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107km/h. EC3X supports both AC and DC charging methods. A full charge from 10 percent to 100 percent takes 10 hours and 30 minutes using an AC charger, while a fast DC charger can raise the battery level from 10 percent to 80 percent in 57 minutes. The 2026 Tiago EV gets two battery options – 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The 24kWh battery produces 75hp and 114Nm, while the 19.2kWh version produces 61hp and 110Nm. The MIDC version of the larger battery has increased to 285km from 293km, while the smaller battery now offers 226km, up from 223km. According to Tata Motors, the C75’s real world range is 205-215km for the 24kWh model and 160-170km for the 19.2kWh model.Tata says the updated Tiago EV offers a acceleration speed that is 40 percent faster than before, resulting in a 100km range in 18 minutes. The hatchback also supports 30kW DC charging, allowing both batteries to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 35 minutes.
