Ahead of its June 26 theatrical release, Ahmed Khan’s comedy thriller ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). However, the film was scrapped only after the changes and changes were made. The agency reportedly suggested 18 changes, ranging from changing dialogue to removing visuals and other references.The latest installment of the “Welcome” franchise is now certified UA 16+ and should arrive in theaters with a running time of 2 hours and 44 minutes.

CBFC provides UA 16+ certificate

According to Hindustan Times, the ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ certificate was issued on June 20 following several revisions. The synopsis describes the film as a chaotic comedy that revolves around a multi-billionaire who hatches an unusual scheme to spend fake money making a film destined to fail. To carry out the plan, he gathers an unlikely team that includes a fading star and the two misfits, who cause a series of problems.Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film is the third entry in the “Welcome” franchise and promises a mix of comedy, chaos and larger-than-life characters. The project is produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Rakesh Dang and Vedant Vikaas Baali.

Discussions have been edited prior to publication

Several lines in the film are said to have been redacted before the licenses were given. Another story, “Kala paida hua hai…koayla hai,” was replaced by “Saadah paida hua…namoona hua hai.” Another line, “Yaas karo kurbani muh me bhar lo paani,” was changed to “suno sunata hoon kahani, jo shaheed honey jaa raha tha, uske muh mien bharlo paan.”Other changes included changes to words like “Desh ki tatti” and “Ejjat le lo.” Some words and references have been redacted or removed entirely. According to the certification details, the word “screwed” was removed from the footnote, while “Azarudden” was replaced by “Allaudin.”The agency also changed “andha” to “dheela,” while references to “Gorkha Regiment” were replaced by the familiar question, “Tum army se ho?” Similarly, the word “General” has been replaced by “officer” or “boss” in important places.

Kashmiri writings are visual changes

Among the notable changes are the removal of references such as “Na Diya” and “Panni of Kashmir.” The CBFC has also recommended changes to several films that it has labeled as “carnal.”According to the list of changes described, images showing bikini images, close-up images of women’s hips and other dance moves were either cut or removed. Other sequels Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez it is said to have been replaced, where a few hand gestures that were deemed inappropriate were replaced with another shot featuring Vindu Dara Singh. The duration of this visual removal is said to be about 10 seconds.
