TS ICET Counseling Timetable 2026: Check Registration Dates, Eligibility and Fees

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the detailed schedule for the Telangana State Comprehensive Entrance Test (TGICET) counseling 2026. The advisory will provide assistance in admissions to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses offered by universities and affiliated colleges across Telangana. Candidates who have qualified for TGICET 2026 can participate in the online counseling process by completing online registration, payment of processing fees, reservation quota, certificate verification and input of network options through the official counseling portal. According to official arrangements, the first phase of online filing of basic information, fee payment and cabin booking will begin on July 31, 2026 and last until August 5, 2026. Phase 1 schedule:

Candidates are advised to fill in as many networking options as possible to improve their chances of getting a seat. They should choose universities and courses carefully before locking in their preferences.

TGICET Counseling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to participate in the consultation process:

  • Must be an Indian citizen.
  • The local or non-reserved status rules prescribed by the Telangana government must be met.
  • Should have qualified for TGICET 2026.
  • An overall score of at least 50% must be obtained in the qualifying degree examination. Candidates belonging to the reserved category require 45% aggregate marks.
  • For MBA admissions, candidates must possess a recognized bachelor’s degree of at least three years.
  • For MCA admissions, candidates must have passed Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics at 12th or graduation level.
  • Degrees obtained through Open Distance Learning (ODL) are only accepted if recognized by the competent authority.
  • 85% of the seats are reserved for local candidates from the Osmania University (OU) region and the remaining 15% are open to eligible candidates.
  • The maximum age for scholarship eligibility is 30 years for open category (OC) candidates and 34 years for reserved category candidates as on July 1, 2026.

Mere qualification for TGICET 2026 does not guarantee admission. Candidates must also meet all other eligibility criteria prescribed by the authority.

Documents required for certificate verification

Candidates must bring two sets of originals and copies:

  • TGICET 2026 Ranking Card
  • TGICET 2026 Hall Tickets
  • Adharka
  • Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent marks memorandum
  • Intermediate or equivalent score memorandum and pass certificate
  • Degree Mark Memo
  • provisional degree certificate
  • Study or real certificate from level 9 to degree
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Proof of income issued on or after January 1, 2026 (if applicable)
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate valid for 2026-27 (if applicable)
  • Comprehensive Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other documents required by the candidate category

How to register

Candidates need to visit the official TGICET counseling portal and log in using their TGICET 2026 registration number, hall ticket number and date of birth. They then have to fill in the required details including Aadhaar number, mobile number, email address and certificate details (if applicable). The consultation processing fee is:

  • Rs 600 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
  • 1,200 for all other categories.

The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
