Chettan shared his thoughts while promoting the film in Mumbai along with the actress Kajal Aggarwal. He explained that the film was created to create awareness while portraying an interesting story based on a social theme.

He said the film explains why people should know more about what reaches their table. He said, “We work hard to put food on our plates. If you have poison in your plate, then your hard work is in vain, and it puts your children, and everyone close to them in great danger. So, in this film, everything is said, what is important, what is there and what needs to be done. This film is for every family. It belongs to every Indian.” The director of the film said that the film aims to entertain by encouraging people to think about a subject that has a universal meaning.

Chettan also explained what he hopes the audience will take away after watching the film. According to him, this article presents the seriousness of issues related to food and provides solutions to the problems. He added, “So, after watching this film, you must listen to everything, you will not be able to sleep thinking about the growth of human culture in terms of our food. You will be surprised. But, this film also tells you how to protect yourself”. The filmmaker hopes that the story will inspire viewers to become more aware of food and the choices they make in their daily lives.

The India Story stars Shreyas Talpade in the lead alongside Kajal Aggarwal, who plays Advocate Archana. His character joins the ranks of ordinary citizens in the fight against popular corporations accused of endangering public health. Blending a courtroom drama with an investigative story, the film examines issues such as pesticide misuse, food adulteration and their massive social impact.‘India Story’ is scheduled to release on July 24, 2026.
