The film, with the support of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, is expected to send one of the biggest films in the world during the global pandemic, according to the original predictions of Deadline.If it had been expected, ‘Brand New Day’ would be the second biggest opening for Sony in the world, leaning behind ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, which was launched with $600.5 million worldwide in 2021. It would also surpass the previous record held by ‘Spider-Man 3’8 million of 2007, which had the box office opening of 2007.

Among the post-pandemic releases, ‘Brand New Day’ is on track to record the third-highest opening worldwide, behind ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (USD 600.5 million) and ‘Zootopia 2’ (USD 560.3 million). Also expected to debut are ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ (USD 452 million), ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ (USD 444.7 million), ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ (USD 441.7 million) and Chinese blockbuster ‘Ne Zha 431 million’ (USD 431 million).

The global rollout began on Wednesday in several key regions, including Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom. The film will be released in Australia, India and Saudi Arabia on Thursday, July 30, while Japan will receive the film on Friday, July 31.In North America, screenings will begin on Thursday, July 30, with the Wednesday evening show. The film is expected to attract a large audience, with the help of the return of Tom Holland and Zendaya, and the addition of the ‘Stranger Things’ star Sadie Sink.

While Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ takes IMAX screens worldwide, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will play in IMAX in select markets, including China, Japan and South Korea. However, the film is expected to benefit from high-definition and 2D features.‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will release in India on July 30 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
