The makers of “Mirzapur: The Movie” have unveiled the first trailer of the film, confirming that the beloved crime saga is moving on from the big screen. The film is set to hit the screens on September 4, and also stars popular actors like Kaleen Bhaiya, GudduMunna and Golu Gupta, are promising fans another exciting chapter in the universe of ‘Mirzapur’.About the theater Shweta Tripathihowever, stepping back into Golu’s shoes came with unexpected complications. While the excitement of returning to the franchise has not wavered, revisiting the innocent look of Part 1 after nearly a decade was a bit overwhelming.
Revisiting Golu’s past was not easy
Talking to India Today about the transition from online to television, Shweta revealed that the shoot itself was not much different from the previous seasons. According to him, the performance and speed have not changed even after switching to the big screen.“It wasn’t fast. Basically, filming took as much time as it should have. So in terms of acting or acting, it wasn’t different.”The real challenge, he explained, was going back in time to show a version of Golu who had never faced the trauma that had changed him over the years. After three seasons of portraying a revenge-driven Golu, Shweta admits that returning to the happy, carefree girl of Season 1 initially became boring.“I have spent many years with feelings of revenge and disappointment. Sweety was no more, and Bablu died; all his dreams were taken away. And now suddenly, Sweety is standing in front of you, and Bablu is here. Guddu is back to what he was… not the way Golu felt about him in the previous season. “The actor admitted that the emotional recovery did not happen suddenly. “The first day, I can’t tell you how confusing it was. I didn’t understand. I was confused because I didn’t know… In the first season, Golu was another girl. But gradually everything fell into place.” For Shweta, it was less about reminiscing the conversation and more about reconnecting with the version of Golu that once existed—the heartbreak, loss and revenge that shaped her personality.
From fan to cast member
Beyond playing Golu Gupta, Shweta described herself as one of the idols of the money. He said watching “Mirzapur” hit the theaters is something he is most looking forward to as a fan. “And now I can’t wait to watch it with everyone because, before that, I’m a fan of ‘Mirzapur’. So when it’s on the big screen, it’s going to be exciting.”He also revealed that when he saw the trailer of the movie recently, he immediately sent a picture to his co-stars, imagining the excitement of watching “Mirzapur: The Movie” unfold in front of a packed theater audience.Directed as a sequel to the hit crime film, ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ brings back Ali Fazal, Pankaj TripathiDivyendu Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi and Jitendra Kumar.
