In Maharashtra, all schools, colleges, anganwadis and coaching institutes in Nagpur district remain closed after IMD red alert warned of risk of severe waterlogging and flash floods.In Uttarakhand, the district administration of Bageshwar, Champawat and Garhwal has declared a holiday for educational institutions. The decision comes after persistent rainfall, an increased threat of landslides and disruptions to transport routes.Visakhapatnam schools closed for pilgrimageIn Andhra Pradesh, schools remain open across the state except Visakhapatnam, where 221 schools and colleges along the 32-km-long Simhachalam Giripradakshina pilgrim route have been closed.
