The sudden cancellation of ‘Satluj’ from ZEE5 has led to a new controversy, with the actors Kanwaljit Singh becoming the latest member of the film’s crew to share his frustrations. The film, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, was quietly released on the platform on Friday evening without any promotional campaign. Although it quickly received positive reviews from viewers, it was taken down within 48 hours, leaving audiences and producers scrambling for answers.Kanwaljit, who portrays a police officer in the film, questioned the decision to remove it from the platform and raised concerns about freedom of expression.“I spoke to Honey after the film was released, and she said that she will take the matter to court. But what I don’t understand is why they had to take it down? Even people who haven’t seen it will want to see it again now. It has also been downloaded by many people, so even if many people watch it, the developers will lose. But I want to ask what is freedom of speech? Tell me, I want to know.
