Ram Charan appreciated Ranveer SinghDhurandhar franchise, describing it as an “exciting, wonderful, wonderful” movie and attributes its great success to the way it was received by the Indian audience.The actor spoke about the blockbuster franchise during his appearance at the Republic Summit, where he revealed that he only watched Dhurandhar on the OTT platform.
‘It brought the world together’
Sharing his thoughts on the film, Ram Charan said, “It’s a scary, fun, amazing film. It had everything falling in the right direction, in the right tempo.”He continued to show the importance of films that promote national unity.“Should more films like this come out? Yes. The integrity of the country, like India first, is very important in our upcoming films. It has brought the country together,” he added.
The box office numbers show the acceptance of the audience
Ram Charan also took a look at the phenomenal box office of the franchise, saying that the collections reflect the audience’s love for the film.“It has been a huge success; it has earned more than Rs 1800 crore. Why would that be? The box office number is nothing but the number of people who have received it, and the footfall in the theaters is important,” he said.According to the actors, the support of the audience is the main measure of the success of the film.“If the people of India are the owners and they want this to happen, why not? It is good for our country,” he added.
Dhurandhar’s record-breaking run
Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar released in December 2025 and grossed over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide.The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, hit the theaters in March this year and grossed over Rs 1,800 crore worldwide.
