Priyadarshanwho recently parted ways with ‘Hera Pheri 3’, has now revealed details about their next film together Akshay Kumar. This will be the ninth time the pair have worked together, this time on a thriller directed with the help of Tips, with shooting expected to begin before the end of the year.
Priyadarshan’s exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’
‘Hera Pheri 3’ was originally a plan, but the International Award-winning filmmaker recently confirmed that he has stopped directing it, opening the door to a new project. According to Mid-day, Priyadarshan has written the story, which is a combination of fun and entertainment. The film will continue at the end of the year, especially in December. Akshay is excited about this project because even though he has tried acting and acting in the past, he feels that this is a genre he has never tried before. The drama is produced by Rohan Shankar, who also worked on ‘Bhooth Bangla’.
Priyadarshan’s other projects have been put on hold
Priyadarshan was earlier said to complete 2026 for the drama starring Pankaj Tripathi, after which Mohanlal’s film was followed. Those plans have now changed, however, as both projects were put on hold the following year. According to reports, Mohanlal’s movie is supposed to start in October in Kerala. But his and the Pankaj Tripathi-starrer’s script is also being remade.
Akshay Kumar’s latest project
On the front, Akshay Kumar was recently seen in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala. The film has an ensemble cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar KapoorShreyas Talpade, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha PataniRaveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Daler Mehndi, Farida Jalal, Kiran Kumar and others. Released on June 22, the film has been receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences since its release.
