Following the student protests in India, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post. Several Bollywood celebrities stood in solidarity with the students, as well as popular musicians Manoj Muntashir he also expressed his support to the students who want justice in the NEET paper leak. Manoj Muntashir expresses his doubts about the students’ protest against NEET leakage
“Students should listen. How can there be other ideas about this? Whatever he says, and if even one student loses his life, then the whole system should be held accountable. And we see that today, the role of the Prime Minister has returned,” said the famous composer in front of Dharmendra Pradhan.“He has formed an SIT. It is written on the head of the Prime Minister that he will punish any culprit who has contributed to the leak of the NEET paper,” he added.Then sharing what he found wrong with the administration, he said, “At the same time, what is happening in Jantar Mantar? What was this? We want to see this country become Bangladesh? We want to see us become Nepal? As the youth are being misled, the youth of this country should be well represented.”
Manoj Muntashir says he is not against the student movement; He does not agree with representation
“The issue that was there, the issue of NEET is very big,” he said before asking, “Did we discuss this issue?”“We must listen to the students 100%. And I am sure that the results of this group will be good. Their pain, their suffering will reach our Prime Minister, it will reach the government. And it is reaching. I can see that it is reaching. That’s it,” he added.“It is not the first time that a paper has been leaked. It has happened before. So there is a problem in the system. And this problem is not for ministers and governments. It has happened in previous governments, and it is happening again in this government. So there is a problem. It is a rotten system. Please fix that plan,” he explained.Reiterating his point, he said, “If someone says that someone will come to promote this system, then that person is wrong. There is no promotion of this system.“But I don’t have people who are traitors. I don’t have people who say India is broken,” he concluded.
