Veteran Tamil film star and actor K Bhagyaraj died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack. He was 73. Just days before his death, Bhagyaraj made what would be his last appearance at the wedding of Khushbu Sundar and Sundar C’s daughter, Avantika, in Goa. Footage of the event has now aired on television, giving fans a glimpse of the late filmmaker at the star-studded festival.Another widely shared video shows Bhagyaraj warmly greeting the Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. The two smiled, shook hands and chatted briefly inside the wedding venue.Following the news of Bhagyaraj’s death, Khushbu paid tribute to the filmmaker on Instagram by sharing a picture of her with a heartfelt message.“Rest in peace Sir. The funny times I had with you will forever be in my memory. I will miss you.”The wedding itself was attended by several famous names from the Indian film industry. Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna attended the celebrations with their wives, while Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor and Trisha Krishnan was also among the invited.However, one of Khushbu’s wedding posts later sparked criticism on the internet. She shared a candid photo with her husband, Sundar C, where the two were all smiles as they celebrated their daughter’s special day. Some social media users questioned the timing of the post after Bhagyaraj’s death.One user commented, “Is this post really needed now? When the government is mourning the death of Bhagyaraj sir.”Khushbu did not stop answering him. Defending her decision to celebrate her daughter’s marriage despite her tragic loss, she replied, “How can you follow me then?? Just protesting?? My daughter got married not even 48 hours ago. And who knows Poornima better? You or me?? If it bothers you, stop following me. I’m better off without people like you. I have every right to be happy.”
Avantika, the elder daughter of Khushbu and Sundar C, got married to Shravan Sreenivasan in Goa on Thursday evening.
