According to the latest update by India Today, the film has not received the censor’s clearance yet. The makers are still waiting for the CBFC’s decision and are hoping to complete the process by next week. The report also stated that the talk about the film getting an A rating is just a rumour. The team hopes to receive a license and share a release date accordingly.
‘Jana Nayagan’ has created a buzz
Earlier according to NDTV, reports said that the film was given an A certificate with few cuts. He said that the final certificate will be issued next week. However, the makers are now denying the claims.According to reports, the team is planning to release ‘Jana Nayagan’ on July 16. If that date is not possible, July 23 is being suggested as an alternative. There are also talks of a release on July 31. However, that date may be difficult as Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut ‘Sigma’ is also slated to release on the same day.The makers are expected to announce the release date only after the film gets censor clearance.

Directed by H Vinoth, the film is a political thriller in which Vijay is seen as an ex-cop.
