Comprehensive Master’s Degree. A student of the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-Bangalore) has been awarded a record annual salary of Rs 15 crore, the highest among the 2026 batch. Two more students of the college got offers worth Rs 130 crore each and more than 22 students received annual salaries of more than Rs 60 lakh.IIIT-Bangalore announced the placement results after conferring degrees to 316 students at its 26th annual convocation on Saturday. This graduating class consists of 95 students from the Ecole Polytechnique. (B.Tech. + M.Tech.) program, 175 from M.Tech., 32 from MS Composed of researchers and 14 doctoral scholars.Class performance and academic achievementAccording to the college, 27 students received annual salary ranging between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, while more than 110 students received tuition fees exceeding Rs 20 lakh per annum.The graduation ceremony also marked a milestone in the academic journey of the institute as its 100th PhD student, Dr Vikas, a neurosurgeon from NIMHANS, completed his PhD studies in Computer Science and Engineering. The college also surpassed the 5,000 alumni milestone.Several students were recognized for academic excellence. Singuru Manognya received the Polytechnic Gold Medal while Subhajeet Lahiri received the Polytechnic Gold Medal. Siddharth Kothari and Yukta Arvind Rajapur were adjudged the best outgoing male and female students respectively.

Veerappan, co-founder and president of Tessolve Semiconductor and chairman of ELCITA, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. IIIT-Bengaluru also highlighted its Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiatives, saying its DPI products are used in more than 40 countries, while the Tele-MANAS national telemental health platform developed by the institute has handled over 4 million calls.
