Bank Talent Selection Research Institute (IBPS) will close the registration window for Trainee Officer (PO) and Specialist Officer (SO) recruitment 2026 tomorrow (July 26, 2026). For the post of Trainee Officer (PO), the candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. IBPS PO, SO Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection process for probationary officer (PO) recruitment includes preliminary examination, main examination and personality test.There are 100 questions in the preliminary test, with a full score of 100 points, and the test time is 60 minutes. The main exam consists of 170 questions worth a total of 200 marks and lasts for 160 minutes.There will be negative ratings on objective tests. One quarter (0.25) of points will be deducted for each incorrect question, while no points will be deducted for unanswered questions.For Specialist Officer (SO) recruitment, candidates have to appear for Online Preliminary Examination, Online Main Examination and Interview. Those who pass the preliminary examination will be included in the re-examination list. The final selection will be based on the results of the main examination and interview.
