But the question that bothers me when I look at Jaswant Singh Khalra is different: What is more painful than being oppressed by an outsider? When those who are entrusted with the responsibility of protecting their people are accused of being the source of their greatest fear.He also wrote, “The job of the police is to protect innocent lives—not to abuse power. Khalra’s bravery exposed evidence of illegal disappearances and secret burnings, reminding us that the abuse of government power can leave scars that last for generations. The women of Punjab are still waiting for answers. Many families are still waiting for justice. The truth cannot be buried forever.”He concluded, “Great job by @HoneyTrehan and @diljitdosanjh in bringing the story of Jaswant Singh Khalra to the world. His bravery deserves to be remembered.”

‘Satluj’ has been removed from OTT in India

Harbhajan’s post comes days after Satluj, formerly known as Punjab ’95, was dropped from OTT in India. The popular drama went on air on July 3, but the platform later confirmed that it has been pulled from its Indian schedule.Following the cancellation of the film, ZEE5 released a statement acknowledging the audience’s response.It said, “The response to Satluj since its release has been overwhelming. We are very grateful to every viewer who chose to subscribe, watch and promote this film. Your love and support has meant a lot to us and to everyone who started this story. “The platform added, “At ZEE5, we stand firmly with Satluj and the creative vision behind it. We believe that strong stories can inspire, endure. We are committed to promoting true and meaningful stories.”The distributor also confirmed, “Given the current situation, Satluj will not be available in India until further notice. We continue to explore every possible avenue through the right process to bring this film to our audience at the earliest opportunity. Our commitment to the creators and to the stories told with conviction, integrity of art and purpose remains unwavering.”Directed by Honey Trehan, ‘Satluj’ is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra, a human rights activist known for documenting alleged illegal disappearances and secret burnings in Punjab. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh in the lead alongside Kanwaljeet Singh, Arjun Rampal, Suvinder Vicky, and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan.
