Speaking to Variety India to promote his Hindi debut ‘Nayi Naveli’, Prakash Kumar traced his journey in Hindi cinema and shared his excitement about the project. He said, “I was fortunate to work on ‘Gangs of Wassepur’ because Anurag Kashyap was my best friend. But it wasn’t all about Hindi for me. As for ‘Nayi Naveli’ with Anand L Rai banner, I am composing all the songs. It will be very interesting. I hope the songs will sound good. Yami Gautam is in the lead. We all know how beautifully she expresses her thoughts. So, my music is in safe hands. ‘Nayi Naveli,’ directed by Balaji Mohan, will be a hopeful one.”

When asked if making music for a Hindi film is different from a Tamil or Telugu project, Prakash Kumar quickly dismissed the idea of ​​any difference. He said, “It’s no different for me from a Telugu or Tamil film. Every success is a challenge for me. The language doesn’t matter. I write every script as if it were my first.”
