‘Godzilla Minus Zero’, the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning Japanese blockbuster ‘Godzilla Minus One’ is set to premiere in November.With months to go before the IMAX premiere in November, the producers on Thursday released the first teaser trailer that gives fans a taste of the next chapter of the monster saga. The game picks up the story after the events of ‘Godzilla Minus One’, and sees humans forcing themselves to perish by turning to nuclear bombs in an attempt to stop Godzilla’s destruction.Directed by Takashi Yamazakithe film serves as a sequel to the 2023 international film, which became the first non-English language film to win the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. The film beat ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3′, ‘The Creator’, ‘Napoleon’ and ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’ to take home the Oscar.According to the official synopsis, “GODZILLA MINUS ZERO picks up in 1949, two years after the chaotic events of Godzilla Minus One, and continues the story of the Shikishima family as they face a new disaster.”The sequel will see Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe reprise their roles as Koichi Shikishima and Noriko, continuing the story that captivated audiences around the world.Yamazaki also confirmed that this will mark the end of his ‘Godzilla Minus’ saga. In a statement translated from Japan, the filmmaker said, “There will be no third time. It ends here,” confirming that the film will be the final chapter rather than the middle of the trilogy.Godzilla Minus Zero is set to be released in Japan on November 3, followed by a US theatrical release on November 6.Ramayana‘, which is slated for an IMAX release. Both the films are slated for Diwali release. However, according to the latest news, the team of ‘Ramayana’ has to go ahead and release in the first week to secure the IMAX screens to launch the mythological epic. The official announcement of the film’s release date is expected next week, during the launch of the trailer.
