Aishwarya Lekshmi‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ saw a decline in the week after a successful opening weekend. The film which had a strong collection in its first three days, recorded a huge drop on its first Monday.According to Sacnilk, ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ collected Rs 2.10 crore in India collected on Day 4. The latest figure represents a drop of 66.1% from the Rs 6.20 crore it earned on Day 3.
The Indian and foreign collections continue to grow
‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ has taken its all-India collection to Rs 15.95 crore. Its collection in India now stands at Rs 18.34 crore.The film collected Rs 70 lakhs overseas on Day 4, taking its total worldwide collection to Rs 4.00 crore. As a result, the film’s worldwide collection has reached Rs 22.34 crore.
Attendance increases during evening and night shows
‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ was screened in 2,094 screens on its fourth day. The Tamil community accounted for 19.21% of the population.The movie opened with 14.85% occupancy in morning shows. Attendance increased to 17.92% in the afternoon and increased to 19.46% in the evening shows. The biggest gain of the day came in the night shows, which recorded 23.46%.The sequel shifts its focus to the emotional journey of a husband and wife who find themselves separated due to unexpected events. The leads are played by Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi.ETimes noted that the film opens with an interesting premise but felt that it does not live up to the premise. The review says, “Although the premise has potential, the film we get is mostly alive. A ‘This should be enough’ attitude seems to pass through various aspects, from the writing (simple and predictable) to the stage (mega serial-like), acting (great whipping), and music (generic, barring one modest number). The cast, filled with actors who have entertained us in the past, can sell, even Aishwarya Lekshmi, who was attracted to the previous film, feels that she is here, maybe because of the filming.
