India will compete in five sports on Saturday, July 25 at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with 3×3 wheelchair basketball joining boxing, bocce, swimming and artistic gymnastics on the day’s schedule.It is expected to be a relatively quiet day for India in terms of medal chances, with no confirmed medal events involving Indian athletes unless they qualify for the finals in artistic gymnastics and swimming.Boxer Sachin Siwach will be the only Indian boxer in action. He begins his campaign in the men’s 60 kg category after many Indian boxers received first-time salutes.In bowls, defending four women’s gold medalists Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh return to action in the women’s doubles competition, while Putul Sonowal competes in the men’s singles after her opening day win.The Indian women’s artistic gymnastics team of Pranati Nayak, Nishka Agarwal, Eshita Rewale and Protistha Samanta will compete in the team and individual qualification rounds after the men’s team failed to make an impact earlier in the Games.India’s schedule for Saturday, July 25

- 4:00 PM – The boxing: Sachin Siwach vs Keoma Al-Ahmadieh (Canada) in the men’s 60kg round of 16.
- 4:19 PM – Swimming: Dhakshan Shashikumar in men’s 400m freestyle. (Final at 11:30 PM if qualified.)
* Note: Srihari Natraj could compete in the men’s 50m backstroke final at 12:20 AM if he qualifies.
