Arshad Warsi says the scene from ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ can’t compare to ‘Golmaal’: ‘Imagination and imagination can’t be compared’

Arshad Warsi has entertained people over the years with memorable characters in books like ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Dhamaal’. Although many associate the player with his playing time, Warsi believes that the secret lies in being true to each individual rather than repeating the best method. While gearing up for the release of ‘Pritam and Pedro’, the actor pondered why each stage of the film required a different approach.

Every comedian belongs to his own country

After portraying his favorite characters like Circuit, Madhav and Adi, Arshad says he doesn’t try to make them different. According to him, the difference comes entirely from the script and vision of the filmmaker.Explaining his philosophy, he said, “Dera should make people laugh unlike Gopal or Madhav. But it is not for me to decide that they should be different. It’s about how the character was written. I have to play the same character as the director or writer sees it. This is what produces organic humor. “He also emphasized that each franchise has its own personality and tone, making it impossible to pin one character to another universe.“I can’t do Dera in ‘Golmaal.’ It won’t be enough. Lines are not enough. Thoughts and reasoning are not the same. Every culture has its own sacred place. You have to approach it carefully from the point of view of the movie, from the point of view of the story, and from the vision of the writer-director. You don’t have to worry about it. “

Rajkumar Hirani‘s comedy works differently

Warsi, who is reuniting with Rajkumar Hirani through ‘Pritam and Pedro’, says the filmmaker’s sense of humor is different from the usual slapstick. Instead of relying on punchlines, Hirani creates humor by adding subtle humor to very serious situations.Talking to Variety India about the style of the film, Arshad shared, “Raju’s comedies are not like any of them. It is a very different place. It is natural, real and deeply human. I can take a sequence from his film and give it to you, and the same sequence can shoot as deep as a pure comedy. But he adds that he is always funny. It is interesting and strong, and it gives a light touch. Doing so suddenly changes the whole dynamic of the situation. That’s his specialty—most people can’t do it.”Explaining what the audience can expect from ‘Pritam and Pedro’, he added, “We have the same plans in this show, too. There is a lot of cheating going on, but in the back of your mind, there is a little smile on your face because you see something unusual happening; something that is very visible and real.” I love doing all these styles, to be honest.”

Why Arshad forgot to play Circuit

At the launch of ‘Pritam and Pedro’, Rajkumar Hirani shared an interesting story from ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’. According to the producer of the film, Arshad was initially struggling to get back to the personality of Circuit after the big gap between the two films.Recalling the incident, Hirani said, “There was a time when Arshad really forgot to play Circuit. Three years after ‘Munna Bhai MBBS,’ We were shooting on the first day of ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai.’ I kept looking at him through the monitor and said, ‘Arshad, Circuit nahi lag raha hai, yaar. Kuch alag ho raha hai.’ He looked at me and said, ‘Haan yaar, kuch alag ho raha hai.’ He actually took a DVD of the first movie out of his junk car, sat there for half an hour to watch himself play the character, and only then was he back on the road.Warsi admitted that forgetting his past roles is part of his job.“That’s how I work. You do your job, you forget about it, and you move on to the next one. You have to clear your mind to think about the next character.”

Arshad’s next venture is ‘Pritam and Pedro’

After appearing in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, Arshad will next be seen in ‘Pritam and Pedro’, directed by Avinash Arun and helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. Vir Hirani stars alongside Warsi and follows the unlikely partnership between Pedro Gonsalves, an ex-Goan cop, and Pritam, a young cyber expert, as they investigate a digital heist run by a cybercriminal played by Vikrant Massey.Combining crime, comedy and parental conflict, ‘Pritam and Pedro’ promises to showcase another side of Arshad Warsi’s comedy while remaining true to his belief that every person deserves to be known.
