Michael Gledill, the main accused in the murder of James Handy, has been ruled ineligible to stand trial, PEOPLE reports. As of June 3, Gledill was in custody, and a bail of USD 2 million was set for his release.The trial took place on Monday; however, he was not found there, according to reports shared by his public defender. The records revealed that he “appears to have been denied transportation.” The trial went ahead without him, and the judge later ruled that Michael did not deserve to stand trial, and approved the drug to serve in prison. The statement said, “At this time he cannot be prosecuted. Psychotropic drugs are prescribed and he can be injected as needed.”On June 3, after receiving a 911 call, the artist was found by the LAPD in his front yard in Tarzana, “passed out and suffering from a wound to his chest.” The call that authorities received was allegedly made by Gledhill, who said, “I’m the son of a man, I’ve killed a sinful man” at the time.Wendy Gledill, Michael’s mother and Handy’s girlfriend, later revealed that her son had been diagnosed with schizophrenia for many years, and had been taking regular medication to manage his condition. However, a few weeks before Handy’s death, he had stopped taking his medication. In a report by the California Post, he said that “I’m just trying to take it one day at a time, one minute at a time.”

He added, “James got up to get the newspaper around 9 o’clock, but he didn’t make coffee like he usually does.
