Aamir tied the knot with Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony at their home in Bandra on July 5. As the two turned heads in traditional ensembles, it wasn’t just Aamir’s ivory dhoti-kurta or the beautiful brooch on his chest that drew attention.What caught the attention of the internet was her unconventional accessory, a chunky silver anklet (payal). Aamir was seen wearing a heavy suit, as women do, at his wedding and this was seen when he stepped out of his house to see Raj Thackeray. Keen-eyed fans spotted a heavy opening peeking out from under Aamir’s dhoti in videos of the event, and it became one of the most talked-about features of his wedding.For the event, Aamir opted for a plain ivory dhoti-kurta paired with statement embroidery on the left side of his chest, to keep his overall style understated. Gauri Spratt teamed her with an ivory lehenga with a full sleeves blouse with stunning cut outs on the net fabric. She draped her dupatta over one shoulder and wore her side-parted hair in a braid decorated with fresh flowers. Her bridal look was completed with layered necklaces, a choker and matching earrings. Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan shared a snapshot of the wedding festivities on Instagram. The video captured Aamir and Gauri exchanging vows before breaking into a dance surrounded by family and close friends. During the performance, Aamir hugged Gauri lovingly and kissed her.Sharing the video, Irfan wrote, “Dear Aamir Bhai & Gauri, Thank you so much for your wedding! Although the couple divorced in 2021, they continued to raise their son, Azad.
