Years after the film’s release, Urmila Matondkar he revealed that he was so impressed by Aamir’s performance that he was forced to write him his own letter, before many people and critics started praising him.Recalling what happened during her appearance on Dance Deewane 3 in 2021, Urmila shared that the admiration came when she was shooting for the film. “Very few people know that when I was singing for ‘Rangeela’, I looked at Aamir’s work and was shocked. I wrote him a letter saying, ‘You will get a lot of letters after doing this and you will also get awards. But this will be the first fan letter you will get.’‘”
