The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has officially confirmed the cause of the actor’s death Daveigh Chasebest known for voicing Lilo in ‘Lilo & Stitch’ and starring in ‘The Ring’. He died on June 16 in Los Angeles at the age of 35.

According to a coroner’s report cited by Variety, Chase, who was also known as Daveigh Schwallier, died of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The report also cited ‘chronic polysubstance use’ as the second leading cause of death.

Before releasing the findings, Chase’s boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, told TMZ that he had been diagnosed with meningitis and sepsis, a dangerous response to infection. Hernandez also told the publication that the former child star was hospitalized in Los Angeles earlier this month due to malnutrition before being diagnosed with meningitis and multiple blood disorders. He said septic complications caused his body to shut down.
