Sarthak Sidhant, a Class 12 student who recently attracted national attention for his analysis of CBSE’s digital assessment tenders, launched the government procurement portal on Friday after scraping records of around Rs 166 crore from the government’s Central Public Procurement (CPP) portal.He wrote on Stenter asked people to download the database and explore further. “Download the database and start digging deeper. This is just the beginning. There’s more to come,” he added. Sidhant became the center of national attention after he published a detailed blog examining CBSE’s on-screen marking (OSM) system and the official tender documents related to digital assessment of Class 12 answer sheets.The Ranchi-based student started investigating the issue after getting a scan of his answer sheet and noticing the difference in his scores. As more and more students raised concerns about the transparency of the digital assessment process, he started comparing different versions of CBSE procurement and tender documents available on public platforms. Sidante claimed that he had discovered a number of changes in the different rounds of tenders, including revisions to eligibility criteria, performance clauses and certification requirements. He said the changes raised questions about the bidding process. Sidante also appeared before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education to present his findings and raise concerns about the assessment system and tendering process.
