Beijing Southern University Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026: The Bihar University Service Commission (BSUSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 3,687 Assistant Professor (Contract Teacher) posts. The online application process has started through the HED Bihar Samarth portal and will remain open till July 15, 2026. Candidates can submit their application without paying any application fee.The recruitment drive is aimed at filling contract teaching posts in 10 state universities and 211 newly established Rajkiya degree colleges in Bihar. Applications are accepted only through HED Bihar Samarth portal. The recruitment covers six disciplines in the arts and humanities area.Announced vacancies in various disciplinesBSUSC has notified vacancies in the fields of English, History, Hindi, Economics, Political Science and Sociology. English has the highest number of vacancies with 674 vacancies, followed by historical vacancies with 662 vacancies and Hindi vacancies with 625 vacancies. There are 597 vacancies in Economics and 596 in Political Science. There are 533 vacancies in Sociology, bringing the total number of job openings to 3,687. Applicant qualification requirementsCandidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks. The minimum qualifying marks are relaxed to 50% for SC, ST, BC, EBC and PwD candidates belonging to Bihar.Applicants must also have qualified UGC NET, CSIR NET or Bihar SET. Candidates who have obtained PhD degree under UGC 2009 or 2016 regulations are exempted from NET requirement.
As of August 1, 2026, the minimum age of applicants is 21 years old, and the maximum age is 43 years old. According to the recruitment rules, the age of candidates for reserved categories may be appropriately relaxed.Selection Process and Recruitment TimelineThe selection process will include an academic assessment and an interview-cum-presentation. The full score for academic qualifications is 88 points, and the full score for interview and presentation is 12 points.According to the recruitment schedule, the interview period will be from July 20, 2026 to July 27, 2026, and the list of proposed personnel is scheduled to be announced on July 29, 2026.
