Veteran actress Lissy has returned to acting after a 38-year hiatus by reuniting with filmmaker Priyadarshan for a new commercial. The comeback marks his first project under the direction of Priyadarshan since 1988’s ‘Chithram’. Reuniting with Priyadarshan also created a stir among movie buffs who remember the duo’s successful collaboration from the 1980s.Together with Lissy, they also have a daughter, an artist Kalyani Priyadarshan. The mother-son duo shares screen space for the first time in a project directed by Priyadarshan. Veteran actor Prabhu Ganesan is also a part of the ad.
Lissy shares her thoughts about reuniting with Priyadarshan
Lissy announced the project by posting photos of the photo shoot on Instagram.He wrote, “It’s been 38 years since I last worked with Priyettan, and I’m glad to be working with him again! Our last film together was the famous “Chitram”. And the best part, I’m playing the reel mother to my real daughter Kalyani Priyadarsan in this promotional film.”
The actress remembers unpleasant moments from the shooting
Lissy also explained how she felt about being in front of the camera for the second time. He praised Priyadarshan for making the project so easy and remembers the lighthearted exchanges that took place during the shoot.He wrote, “When Abhilash, Priyettan’s director general, asked if I was afraid of the installation after so many years, I said no, because Priyettan knows me inside, from my best to my worst face to look the best. ( Priyettan heard this and laughed, ‘I also know his best and worst qualities!’ picnic place.”In appreciation, Lissy thanked the brand for giving her the opportunity to reconnect with Priyadarshan and Kalyani through the advertisement. Earlier this year, reports suggested that the couple had decided to get back together after years of separation.Priyadarshan later confirmed the reports in an interview with Mid-Day. He revealed that he has decided to live together without remarrying.He said, “Except for the marriage certificate, we are living one life together.”
