Enola Holmes and Lord Tewkesbury have captivated fans with their new role in the classic play, taking viewers back to the 19th century with their high-profile drama. When the conspiracy spreads in Malta under the shadow of the colonists, suddenly it starts with the kidnapping of Sherlock Holmes. Based on history, writer Jack Thorne revealed that fictionalizing the story played an important role in the making of the film.

Enola Holmes 3‘ is the process behind creation

While investigating as an inside detective, Enola Holmes discovers the word ‘Khost’ when she finds her brother in a hotel room, and links it to the ‘Khost War,’ which took place in the 1800s Anglo-Afghan Wars. However, unlike ‘Enola Holmes 2,’ which shared the true story of the game girls, the third one was based on real events and was largely fictional. “We just made up this story because we felt that if we were to deal with the theft of the real wealth of the country by the British military, then we could do harm, and we didn’t want to do that,” said Thorne in an interview with Tudum.“The Match Girls Society was excited that we highlighted them and what made people look at them,” Thorne explained of the previous episode, adding that they wanted similar colonial stories but in a different way. The impact of the story was not just about the plots, but the depth of the characters and cast. Watson is from India. “My father was a soldier and a loyal servant of the British Raj. He loved the crown, he believed that he had the right to rule India, and I thought he was worthy of it. I was a child, and he was my soldier,” Himesh Patel’s character says in the film.
