The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the timetable for the Class 12 supplementary examination 2026 and has started submitting the List of Candidates (LOC). CBSE affiliated schools have been directed to complete the online submission of candidates through the Pariksha Sangam portal within the stipulated deadline.The board also made it clear that students whose names are not included in the LOC will not be allowed to appear for the supplementary examination.
Schools are directed to submit LOC through Pariksha Sangam
As per the official notification, schools will have to log in to the Pariksha Sangam portal using their affiliation credentials and submit LOC for eligible students.The online submission window will remain open from June 30 to July 8, 2026. CBSE has directed schools to include all students belonging to the cubicle category even if they are unable to contact them. The board said failure to submit a student’s name in the LOC will render the student ineligible to appear for the supplementary examination.
Placement students must contact their school
Students who appear for the Class 12 Board Examination 2026 as regular candidates in CBSE-affiliated schools and are declared to be in the compartment category will have to go to the school where they appeared for the main examination. Their school will sponsor them to take the make-up exam.The board advises students not to wait until the last minute and ensure that their details are submitted before the deadline.
Students who are eligible to attend
CBSE has designated the categories of candidates who can register for the Class 12 supplementary examination 2026.Eligible categories include:
- Students will get the opportunity for cubicles for the first time after being declared in the cubicle category in the 2026 Class 12 board examination.
- Students who want to improve their scores after passing the main exam in 2026 after changing subjects.
- Students who have passed the board exams 2026 and want to improve their performance in a certain subject.
- Students taking part in Third Chance will appear for the first time in the Class 12 exams in 2025. These candidates can only apply as self-study candidates.
Make-up examination fee
Candidates have to pay the exam fee online through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.The fee structure is as follows:
Comprehensive mark sheet is only available to eligible compartment candidates
CBSE has clarified that comprehensive merit sheets will be issued only to students whose results in the 2026 board examinations were declared as cut-offs and who successfully cleared the 2026 supplementary examinations.The exam follows the existing syllabusThe board said the supplementary examination will be conducted as per the Class 12 Board Examination syllabus 2025-26.
