Netflix’s latest drama Kartavya, which stars Saif Ali Khanintroduced the audience to Yudhvir Ahlawat, who received praise for his portrayal of young Harpal. Although many viewers think that he was a teenager in real life, Yudhvir is 33 years old. The actor has now revealed that even Saif Ali Khan used to believe that he was too young.Yudhvir shared how the response to his performance has been overwhelming. “It feels amazing. People have been sending me messages saying they liked my work. This is the day I’ve been waiting for. I keep replying to everyone in my DM,” he said in an interview with Kadak. Recalling his contribution, Yudhvir said the opportunity came through director Mukesh Chhabra’s team. After working with Red Chillies Entertainment, he was invited to audition for the role of Harpal.“This was my second time working with Red Chillies, and it was very exciting. I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra’s team saying that they are making a film called Kartavya and they want to audition me for the role of Harpal. I gave an audition, and after one or two, they told me that I had done well. Somewhere, I also felt that I could do this film. Later I felt that I would end up doing this film.The actor also said that his youthful looks have earned him a lot of praise, especially from female fans.“Many of them tell me I look so young and call me beautiful,” she said.Yudhvir also revealed that Saif Ali Khan’s speech during the impromptu interview was too long. According to him, the actor chose Harpal as one of his favorite characters in the film and admitted that he thought Yudhvir was a teenager.“Saif sir was asked in an interview about his favorite scene in the film. He started complimenting me and said, ‘Harpal is very good. I treated him as 16 years old. But Pulkit sir (the director) told him that I am actually 33 years old. He was shocked to hear that.’ The video went viral,” he recalled.He added that Saif was not the only one who was fooled by his looks. Yudhvir said most of the cast and crew initially believed he was an actor until director Pulkit revealed his real age.“In the beginning, everyone treated me as a child actor. Later, Pulkit sir told everyone that I was really 33 years old. Later, people like Sanjay Mishra sir and others started treating me like any other big actor,” he said.Yudhvir Ahlawat made his film debut with Saand Ki Aankh, in which he starred See you there and Bhumi Pednekar. She later appeared in Shamshera alongside Ranbir Kapoor and appeared in Love Hostel with Bobby Deol and Vikrant Massey.
