Madras High Court hears plea, suspends ‘Parasakthi’ satellite deal

As reported by the Bar and Bench, Sudha Kongara’s petition alleges that the production company failed to pay her dues despite repeated follow-ups, leaving her with no choice but to seek legal recourse. After hearing the matter, the Madras High Court ordered that no activities or satellite deals related to ‘Parasakthi’ should take place till 8th July. The order will remain in effect until a court hears the case, making it the largest of its kind in the ongoing dispute.

Sudha Kongara also sought legal intervention in another project sponsored by the same banner, ‘Idhayam Murali.’ In his complaint, he asked the court to stay the release of the film on July 10 until his payment is cleared.
