There is Kemmu has made his reality show debut with ‘Alliance’, and in a candid interview before the show, he pointed out the great similarities between the alliance game on screen and the reality that creates a career in Bollywood. Let’s see what he said.
Kunal Kemmu why cooperation is essential for human existence
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Kunal Kemmu explained the concept of ‘Alliance’ and why it is more about collaboration than physical appearance. He said, “There is a family you are born into, and there is a family you make or choose, like friends who become family. And sometimes family relationships don’t last. Human existence is based on cooperation. Back then, if you couldn’t be a hunter or a gatherer, you had to make cooperation to survive. “Cooperation is what you need to survive,” he said.
Kunal Kemmu accepts camps in Bollywood
When the conversation turned to the well-known existence of camps and groups in Hindi cinema, Kemmu did not shy away from addressing them directly. The actor said, “It’s there. It’s not the only way things happen, but it happens in every aspect. You can feel good or bad about it, but the truth is that it’s going to stay. It’s human nature. If I like someone and want to work with them, you can’t make me not work with them. It would be difficult for anyone, but unfortunately, the way to go.”
Talent vs business math in Bollywood
In the same interview, Kunal Kemmu also highlighted how the film industry has changed but continues to prioritize things over pure talent. He shared, “Camps hote the, ab thode kam hain because tab kuch hi families thi jo films bana rahi thi (There used to be camps. Now it is less because earlier only a few families made films). Companies came. But even today, business is not always chosen by talent. It is considered by some mathematics, which has no meaning. He added, “That’s why we started making projects and not films. Fortunately, time teaches everything. Now people don’t watch films. They tell us they want content, not work.”
