But, when he appeared at a ceremony in Mangaluru, the tables turned for the King of Romance.A video shot at the event saw a female fan of Shah Rukh, leaving the audience in tears and cheering him on. During the panel discussion, a fan told the King of Hearts, “I love you more than my husband,” which made the audience gasp.Amusingly, Khan replied, “If you were to say this in private…”She quickly followed and answered from the bottom of her heart, saying, “But I know it’s a matter of talking. I understand your feelings, and I believe your husband does too. I love you all, I love your husband, I love your family.”Then a fan asked him his question, “There are thousands of young people from Mangalore who are watching you today, many of us have this question in our minds, that someone from a small village like Mangalore, do you think we can reach amazing heights like you. What would you like to tell us? You think we can dream big.”Responding with an encouraging message, Khan reflected on his journey to stardom and said, “I think you’ll all be interesting. I’ll be very honest, I’m coming from the beginning where I probably can’t imagine that I’ll achieve much in life. Because of the audience, because of the work I’ve done. So the only thing I can tell all young people is, don’t give up, don’t always give up.”The actor then quoted one of the most interesting lines from his 2007 film ‘Om Shanti Om’, “Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai.”Explaining what he said was his message to the youth, Khan ended with the words, “Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho, toh poori kaaynaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.”
