The launch of ‘Dharman,’ starring Rajinikanth for his 173-year-old movie, turned into a fun and exciting affair as the Superstar revealed a few secrets about the movie. Speaking in public with a producer Kamal Haasan and the director Ashwath MarimuthuRajinikanth addressed the audience with humor and frankness. The actor also said how difficult the process was to make the film, but he had the confidence of the people making ‘Dharman.’

Rajinikanth opens up about public scrutiny and public speaking

Rajinikanth started talking and joking about the kind of attention he gets for his public statements. “Every time I am invited to speak, I am hesitant,” he said with a smile. “When I don’t speak, people ask me why I’m silent. If I speak, they ask me to keep talking and create conversations around it.” The veteran actor added that he has learned a lot over the years. “People who don’t like us will not be satisfied no matter what we do. “To think that everyone will like everything we do is a mistake,” he said.

How Dharman found his director after several changes

Rajinikanth also revealed that Ashwath Marimuthu has become the fourth director to join the project. “First, we prepared the film and KS Ravikumar. Later, Sundar C came on board, but this did not work out due to other commitments, he explained. The actor revealed that director Cibi Chakravarthi was attached to the film at some point. We felt that it would be better to do the project another time,” said Rajinikanth. The search for a new script led the team to Ashwath Marimuthu and his vision for ‘Dharman.’

Regarding the final decision, Rajinikanth said that Kamal Haasan initially believed in the decision of the team and did not want to hear the matter. However, he insisted that Kamal listen to the story before making a decision. “When he heard, he said that the story was very good,” said Rajinikanth. The Superstar added that Ashwath now has a big responsibility but he has the support of the whole team. “I really liked his movie Dragon. I have full faith in him and the project,” he said. With the approval of Rajinikanth and the support of Kamal Haasan’s production house, ‘Dharman’ has already emerged as one of the most anticipated films in Tamil cinema.
